Everybody thinks they understand Index Data, as most people are familiar with the concept of indices that are referenced at
the end of the news Ftse 100 S&P 500, most days, people are aware when indices reach record highs or are the leading
indicator of a recession.

However what most people don’t realise is how many variants of indices there are tracking similar
or identical areas of the market, for instance the MSCI World is calculated in USD, AUD, BRL, CAD, CHF, CNY, EUR,
GBP, HKD, INR, JPY, KRW, RU, SGD and LOC, combined with this each index is calculated in price, net and gross return
variants, thus a single index can suddenly have forty five separate variants, this complexity is where Index Data management
comes in.
